Introducing the new publication: Research Essays with a Gender Perspective (2021)
It is with great enthusiasm and great joy that we present the publication Research Essays and Gender Perspective, vol. I (2021) edited by Patricia Ruiz Bravo and Aranxa Pizarro. This publication is composed of the winning texts of the I Contest of Research Essays and Gender by the UNESCO Chair on Gender Equality in Higher Education Institutions and the Research Group on Gender Studies of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. The first edition of the contest received a total of 64 applications, including individually authored and co-authored essays, submitted by Peruvian undergraduate and graduate students from various regions of the country.
The objective of publishing the winning texts of this first contest is to make visible the contribution of undergraduate and graduate students at the national level and to promote interdisciplinary dialogue from a gender perspective. The selected articles presented here are excellent works that open new routes for us to think about ourselves as a society and pose challenges from different disciplines, regions and points of view. We celebrate this heterogeneity and invite you to read them. By placing the winning texts in their hands, we seek to disseminate the findings and encourage them to continue in the task of building new knowledge that will make it possible to define the changes that our country requires.
