Mission

The Pontifical Catholic University of Peru is committed to promoting a safe campus, free from violence and gender stereotypes that can harm members of the university community. For the university, it is essential that teachers, students and administrative staff are able to develop fully on the basis of values that promote respect, tolerance and inclusion of the entire university community.

To this end, PUCP approved in 2015 the Gender Equality Policies for Teaching, in 2016 the Regulations for Prevention and Intervention in Cases of Sexual Harassment Applicable to Students and Teachers, and in 2017 the Policy for Respect for Gender Identity at the PUCP. As a result of this policy, in 2018 the Regulations on the Inclusion of the Company Name for Trans People in the PUCP were approved. trans en la PUCP.

Following our values and purpose, from the UNESCO Chair on Gender Equality in Higher Education Institutions we join the commitment of the university to promote gender equality and the fight against sexual violence in the field of teaching, research and university management.
