The 100WomenPUCP exhibition seeks to highlight the role that women have played in the university over its first 100 years. The aim is to make their presence and contribution visible. However, the exhibition is also a space to highlight the difficulties that women have had in accessing and being recognized in academia. It can be considered as a starting point for a more extensive research into their hitherto unknown trajectories and contributions. The photographic exhibition has 15 images placed at the Tinkuy Building (campus PUCP). The photographs have been placed following a chronological criterion. On the first floor are photos from the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s; on the second floor, the 60’s and 70’s; finally, on the top floor, there are photos from the 80’s and a gallery of the women of the university who held some important position, such as the first deans of various faculties and the first vice-rector of the PUCP or some important recognition as emeritus professors and professors who have received the R. P. Jorge Dintilhac Medal of Honor, which recognizes their contribution to higher education. The research was co-organized by the Research Group on Gender Studies, the Vice-Rector’s Office for Research and the UNESCO Chair on Gender Equality at PUCP.
