This publication is the result of the Mentoring 2018 Program: Training for Women Leaders at the University Level by the Espacio de Mujeres Líderes de Instituciones de Educación Superior de las Américas (Emulies) Program of the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE), in coordination with the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and the UNESCO Regional Chair Women, Science and Technology in Latin America Flacso (Argentina). The creation of the program arose in response to demands expressed at various EMULIES events and, specifically, as a result of a consultation with women leaders of HEIs who expressed an interest in having the appropriate tools to transmit their experiences in decision-making positions to other women. The publication has been coordinated by Jimena Sánchez Barrenechea (PUCP) and Blas Fernández (FLACSO).
