Awards Ceremony for the II Research and Gender Perspective Essay Contest, especial edition UNESCO Chair- trandes
The UNESCO Chair for Gender Equality in Higher Education Institutions and the trAndeS program of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú are pleased to invite you to the award ceremony of the "III Research and Gender Perspective Essay Contest, special edition: Gender, Inequalities and Development in the Andean Region". The contest was held during 2021- 2022. On this occasion, the call was for graduate students from national and international universities. We received essays from Peru, France, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile and Venezuela. Four essays were selected as winners, which will be published by the UNESCO Chair in Gender Equality and the trAndeS-PUCP program in the coming months.
Winners
- First place: "On the reconfiguration of gender relations in a mining context: a feminist-materialist view from the economic and sexual" developed by Caroline Weill.
- Second place (tie): "The language of violation in the bodies of women with disabilities." developed by Ana Coronel and Venus Elizabeth Medina; and "Transnational corporations vs. new development models proposed by Latin American women" developed by Melisa Gorondy.
- Honorable mention: "Abject bodies: the story of survivors of dehomosexualization clinics in Ecuador" developed by Estefanía Manzano.
