In a context where gender violence is a global problem, analyzing gender representations and romantic love in television fiction will help us to understand permanence and tensions in the imaginaries of our societies. In this line, the seminar seeks to disseminate research papers that promote reflection on gender representations and romantic love from the point of view of scholars from different countries to identify points of coincidence and divergence on the products offered by television fiction and its impact on social imaginaries and the reproduction or not of violence. To this end, the presentations will revolve around the following questions: what gender representations do the current models offer us? Are there continuities or are changes evident? What female models are being portrayed? Are patriarchal mandates being questioned? Does violence appear in the analyzed gender relationships? How is romantic love represented? Are there other forms of love represented?
