We present the publication “Research Essays and Gender Perspective”, vol. I (2021) edited by Patricia Ruiz Bravo and Aranxa Pizarro. This publication is composed of the winning texts of the I Research Essays and Gender Perspective Contest organized in 2019 by the UNESCO Chair on Gender Equality in Higher Education Institutions and the Research Group on Gender Studies of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. We received a total of 64 applications, including individually authored and co-authored essays submitted by Peruvian undergraduate and graduate students from different regions of the country. The aim of publishing the winning texts is to make visible the contribution of undergraduate and graduate students at the national level and to promote an interdisciplinary dialogue from a gender perspective. The selected articles presented here are excellent essays that open up new ways of thinking about ourselves as a society and pose challenges from different disciplines, regions and points of view. A heterogeneity that we celebrate and invite you to read. The essays are written in Spanish and you can find the complete volume here.
